A collaboration with FDMTL, a brand renowned for products that incorporate uniquely Japanese craftsmanship.
This blouson is a wool-based customization of JAM’s original rider’s jacket, the **"Monster Rider’s Jacket."**
It masterfully samples elements from two iconic jackets: the "Monza" by Lewis Leathers (UK), characterized by its sharp shoulder pads and distinctive waist belt detailing; and the "One Star" by Schott (USA), the archetype of all rider’s jackets.
It features a unique pocket under the collar designed to hold a disposable hand warmer. While retaining the signature silhouette, the design has been stripped of excess ornamentation for a minimalist aesthetic; by concealing most hardware—such as zippers and snap buttons—on the inside, the jacket highlights the warm texture of the wool blend, resulting in a simple yet stylish look.
Insulated padding, reminiscent of the MA-1 flight jacket, provides enhanced heat retention.
The insulation utilizes the high-performance material 3M™ Thinsulate™ Ultra*, ensuring superior warmth and comfort.
The lining features an original print inspired by *boro* (distressed, patched, and mended textiles). The pattern is arranged in a patchwork style and incorporates the text "FDMTL" and "JAM HOME MADE" rendered in a *sashiko* (traditional Japanese running stitch) style.
The interior is equipped with a total of four pockets.
This hybrid blouson seamlessly blends the soft texture of FDMTL’s signature fabrics with the authentic pattern of a classic rider’s jacket.
