Global warming, driven by massive carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels since the Industrial Revolution, continues to push up the Earth's average temperature. Consequently, ancient ice in both the Antarctic and Arctic—dating back thousands of years—has begun to melt, and the rate of this melting is said to be accelerating.

Global warming impacts far more than just temperature; it affects weather patterns, ecosystems, and human lives in diverse ways. The UN General Assembly adopted the SDGs in 2015, setting goals for humanity to achieve by 2030 to ensure our continued survival on Earth. Yet, we live in a world where heatstroke alerts are frequently issued in summer, and people fear the deadly consequences of extreme heat. We must, at all costs, prevent temperatures from exceeding 40°C.

With a heartfelt prayer, we encased our signature safety pin within a form inspired by ice. This "Freeze Product" embodies a paradox: a wish that what melts the ice is not the rising temperatures caused by global warming, but the warmth of a heart that cares for others.

Marking its 25th anniversary, JAM HOME MADE turns over a new leaf with a collection themed "25+1=NICOICHI" (Two-as-One)—a step into a new chapter. It is a collection that harmonizes elements that would normally be incompatible, transforming the concept of "dangerous to mix" into "wonderful when mixed."
It translates the concept of "Nico-ichi" (two becoming one) into decorative pieces by drawing inspiration from the unique sense of unity—born from a striking contrast—found when combining things that don't usually go together. This ranges from the clash of "above-ground" and "under-ground" worlds (aristocrats vs. laborers, upscale neighborhoods vs. slums, guards vs. prisoners) to culinary pairings like watermelon with salt, pizza with pineapple, or potato salad with apple slices.
The Japanese word for "wonderful" (*suteki*) actually contains the character for "enemy" (*teki*). This implies a level of excellence that compels one to acknowledge the merit of an adversary—a "bravo, even if you are the enemy" sentiment. It embodies a prayer for world peace, expressing the hope that two parties who could never mix might find common ground.
