CONTACT

A Shingen bag with an original JAM HOME MADE pattern made with Inden.

Based on a drawstring pouch from Inden-ya, the head office of the traditional leather craft "Inden," it features JAM's signature attachment parts.

The pattern motif is JAM's original "GIN""JAM"" CHECK" pattern, inspired by a shogi board, as the Shogi Hall is located in Sendagaya, where the flagship store is located.

The combination of strong, soft, and lightweight deerskin leather with lacquer that brightens over time creates a unique texture that becomes more comfortable in your hand the more you use it.

The bottom gusset allows for a wide opening for easy access.

The wide bottom gusset with interlining provides excellent stability and storage capacity.

Not only can it store small items like your wallet, smartphone, and towels, but it also has a zippered interior pocket for keys, cigarettes, and more.

The opening is secured with a drawstring and a gusset, allowing it to hold more items than it appears.

It can be folded into a slim profile, making it a versatile pouch for wearing with a kimono or yukata, or as a carry bag for quick shopping trips.

Its rounder shape makes it a great choice for women.

Characteristics of Inden
〇 Lacquer may lose its luster if exposed to sunlight (ultraviolet rays) for extended periods.
〇 Lacquer may crack during the processing process. It may also chip or peel. The same applies if it is bent or scratched.
〇 Deer leather may have scratches caused by antler wear, but these are valued as evidence of its naturalness. Deer leather may be damaged if the surface is broken or rubbed during use.
〇 Because the skin properties of each piece of deer leather are different, slight variations in the color tone may occur after the dyeing process. There may also be some uneven coloring. Deer leather may discolor or fade due to sunlight, lighting, or aging.

Cautions and Requests
〇 Because the lacquer is completely dried in a shaded room, there is little risk of irritation. However, in rare cases, irritation may occur depending on your constitution. If this occurs, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
〇 In order to preserve the natural characteristics of deer leather, no special color-fast processing is used. Therefore, sweat, water, friction, etc. may cause changes to the texture, and the leather dye may transfer to clothing.
〇 Design and specifications may be changed without notice for product improvement purposes. Thank you for your understanding.

Care Instructions
〇If the product gets wet, do not rub it. Instead, gently pat it with a dry cloth to remove moisture and dry it in the shade. Do not use gasoline, cleaners, or wax to remove dirt or polish.

Indenya

A collaboration with Inden-ya, the headquarter of the traditional leather craft "Inden."
JAM HOME MADE has created a completely original pattern. JAM's iconic original pattern leather products are expressed using traditional techniques.

"Inden" is a leather craft that has been passed down in Koshu (Yamanashi) for over 400 years, and "Inden-ya" is a long-established "Inden" store founded in 1582.
During the Edo period, our ancestor, Yuichi Uehara, invented a unique technique for applying patterns to deerskin with lacquer. This is said to be the beginning of Koshu Inden.
In 1987, Koshu Inden was designated a Traditional Craft by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry. Inden's traditional techniques are a way of conveying the culture of this rare leather craft as a practical beauty that adds color to life.

Throughout its long history, Inden has produced numerous products that are in tune with the times while preserving traditional techniques. With the desire to introduce Inden to the younger generation, we create original patterns such as leopard print, anechoic chamber pattern, check pattern, and punched (dot) pattern using Inden techniques.
We add the personal value of precious stones, which is unique to JAM, to traditional craftsmanship, updating it with a modern and chic taste. Without being bound by convention, we will deliver special Inden products from a modern perspective that will be loved by more customers.
